For you, on Valentine's Day

Kyle you're my everything, you mean the world to me
With you and Max to share my life, I've the perfect family
It's been 5 years since first we kissed and what a kiss that was!
Since then I've known that you're the one. Why? Well, because...

Because I love your laid back charm, your warmth and sweet affection
Because you make me laugh so much and give my life direction
I love the way your family and friends mean all to you
I love you for your thoughtful ways and all the things you do

You have so many qualities that can't be left unsung
You're willing to do anything at all for anyone
You're loud and so outgoing, you're my lover and best friend
The depth of love I feel for you is hard to comprehend

I love the fact you love me, even though I'm slightly strange
But as we're so well suited it's not something that I'd change
You made my heart do somersaults with your Turkish pier proposal
Now my heart is pledged to you, it's at your full disposal

That moment so romantic, when you got down on one knee
Such a touching gesture and a lifelong memory
So because you're so deserving and you're such a special man
I now return the favour, cos it's the one day that I can

So here's a little token, a symbol of engagement
To show you just how much I love our future life arrangement
To show you how you touch my heart, to show how much I care
And to thank you for the love you give and for always being there.

Yes, over twenty-five!

Reasons I love you

But here are just a few...

You're always so supportive
You're loyal, full of talent
You're confident and funny
You're dynamic and you're gallant

You're a master in the kitchen
You're honest and inventive
You like football and photography
And you're always so attentive

We've many special memories
Like the wedding of our son
And despite the years now past
It's like we've only just begun

We both know you're the wordsmith
And it's not so much my thing
But I wanted to articulate
How much happiness you bring

So please enjoy this little rhyme
Written to express
How close I hold you to my heart
With love and tenderness
