Poetry for a Funeral Memoriam: Examples
Always in our thoughts
A normal little boy, but unlike
any other
A precious gift of beauty to your mum, your dad and brother
The sadness of a childhood condensed to shortened years
But always we'll remember you with happiness not tears
We didn't have the pleasure of
seeing you in your prime
When your heart and soul were free and not prisoners of time
But always we have seen your spirit, shining from within
A thousand words are spoken with one cheeky little grin
Curious, a chatterbox, you won
every computer game
A lifelong love of a tank engine - the one that shares your name!
You touched the heart of everyone, admired by your peers
Adored by friends and family, courageous against fears
The love and dedication of an
inspirational mum and dad
Showed that every single moment was a blessing to be had
It could be said a tragedy to lose one oh so young
But they were filled with love and gratitude to have you as their son
A childhood should be magical,
so sad that yours was tainted
But you enriched the lives of everyone with whom you were acquainted
So it's with joy not sadness that we bid a fond farewell
Because at being ****** **** is where you truly did excel
Life is but a journey and
you've reached your destination
But it's just another chapter, like a permanent vacation
Now you're free to run again, unfurl your wings and fly
Meet those who passed before you and soar into the sky
